2021 Learning & Inquiry Journey

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to school and learning everyone.  I hope you had a lovely break and some great time with your family.

First Week at school!

This week is our first week back at school and I am looking forward to this new year. I met my learners and their whanau on Tuesday morning and it was great to chat and exchange stories with these new learners.  One of the most important work that I always do on the first day of school, especially being a New Entrants teacher is to connect with families and make them feel welcome at school. We spent the first block on Tuesday talking and sharing information with children and their whanau. I got to know interesting stories about my learners from their parents/caregivers.

Next Steps!

I will be testing my learners in week 3 to find out more about their academic capabilities. Not only that, I will also sit down with the Yr 1, 2 & 3 teachers and analyse our data from last year to see which learning area that our inquiry will be focusing on.
